"A Women Who Is Poised is Postured Confidently". 

I am Gabrielle, the owner of Poised. My passion for fashion is only exceeded by my passion for helping others. After working in the early childhood education industry for over 13 years, I realized that while I had enjoyed influencing children, helping families, and community outreach, I wanted to invest in a dream of my own. I have a passion for motivating young mothers, such as myself, and I love fashion, but these two ideas seemed mutually exclusive. That's how the concept for Poised Boutique began. 

After being at home during the pandemic, and feeling as if I was losing myself, I began to ask God what my gift was. He revealed to me how my love for fashion helped me to cope and brought me great peace. This is how the vision of "Poised" was birthed. An affordable luxury brand for women, specializing in plus size clothing. A brand that empowers, strengthens, and encourages every women to keep going with confidence.

As a plus size women I have struggled with depression, low self-esteem, and the insecurities of being overweight. Finding fashionable trendy clothing was always a challenge for me. I have always had an eye for detail and exclusive fashionable pieces. After years of searching, I decided to use that same energy, and money, to provide women with clothing options that made them feel beautiful and confident.

My greatest joy is watching my customers shop and seeing the joy on their faces as they are trying on pieces from Poised! A brand that cares about our customers mentally, spiritually, and physically!
